Workshop Descriptions

WORKSHOP #1

Basic OCT Imaging (3 hours)
Todd C. Perkins
In this course, we will discuss what an OCT is and what it can do for your practice. We will briefly cover data entry and manipulation. We will cover proper scanning techniques, joystick control, common errors and environmental factors that you might not have considered. We will go over the basic different types of scans that are available on your instrument and how they are used. We will also have a very basic discussion of retinal anatomy in regard to OCT. Hands-on will be based and limited to the number of attendees vs. instruments.

WORKSHOP #2

Advanced OCT Imaging (3 hours)
Todd C. Perkins
In this course, we will quickly review proper scanning and discuss shortcutting and errors. We will dig deeper into how to edit raw scans. We will discuss output choices. We will work on the advanced utilization of a line type scan. We will discuss retina, angio and glaucoma scans in depth including change analysis. You will be taught how to work with and change baselines. We will discuss 3D and Angio scans and how to manipulate and utilize the extra tools. We will discuss the plethora of things you can scan and manage with anterior scans.
